Experienced Leadership. Strategic Acquisitions.
We partner with established essential service businesses that have built strong foundations and lasting customer relationships. Through strategic acquisitions and experienced leadership, we provide the resources, support, and stability needed to build on that success while preserving what makes each business unique.
Our approach is focused on long-term growth—not short-term change. We work alongside existing teams, invest in the businesses we acquire, and look for opportunities to strengthen operations, expand capabilities, and create lasting value for employees, customers, and the communities they serve.

Chris Kauffman
CEO
After graduating from Shippensburg University with a BSBA specializing in entrepreneurship, Chris began his career in the family business, where he gained firsthand experience in operating and growing a privately held company. During his tenure, the organization has nearly tripled across key metrics, including customer count, revenue, and gallons sold. Over the years, he has also started two companies, acquired two businesses, and successfully sold one. These experiences have provided a broad perspective on entrepreneurship, business ownership, acquisitions, and the opportunities and challenges that come with building and growing companies.
Beyond his work in business, Chris spent more than fifteen years volunteering as a firefighter with Cochranville & Christiana Fire Companies in Pennsylvania, ultimately achieving the rank of Assistant Chief. His time in the fire service helped shape his approach to leadership, teamwork, and serving others. Chris has also remained active in the nonprofit community, serving on the board of Cochranville Fire Company and the board of Cornerstone Pregnancy Resources.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time on the water with his wife and kids, attending church, playing golf, and watching hockey.

Josh Kauffman
Vice President
After graduating from high school, Josh attended Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology, where he earned an associate degree in HVAC. Shortly after completing his education, he joined the family propane business, where he spent several years working hands-on in the field and developing a strong understanding of the day-to-day operations of the business. Josh eventually rose through the ranks to become service manager before an opportunity arose to build a hazmat trucking company. With an affinity for trucking and a desire to take on a new challenge, Josh embraced the opportunity to start and build a new business from the ground up. Under his leadership, the company experienced significant growth during its first three years.
Josh's hands-on approach and willingness to learn have been central to his success in both the propane and transportation industries. His experience in the field, combined with his leadership of a growing company, has given him a unique perspective on operations, people, and the challenges and opportunities that come with building a business.
Outside of work, Josh enjoys tinkering with Jeeps and older cars, particularly the classics rather than today's newer vehicles. He also enjoys playing ice hockey and spending time with his wife and children. Josh is actively involved in his church, where he serves in several capacities and remains committed to giving back to his community.

Sean Post
CFO
After graduating from Elizabethtown College, Sean spent twelve years in public accounting at a regional accounting firm based in Pennsylvania. During that time, he rose to the position of senior manager at the firm and worked in a variety of practice areas, including assurance, outsourced accounting, business valuation, and M&A advisory. The experience gained from each of these service lines provided a strong foundation for the move to the private company space. Now, as Chief Financial Officer, he draws on past experiences to help guide the Kauffman Capital Group portfolio of companies. Beyond the financial responsibilities of the role, Sean focuses on strategy and planning, risk management and compliance, and growth and acquisition opportunities. Outside of the office, you will likely find Sean talking about, watching, or playing sports and spending time with his wife, Haley. Sean is originally from New Jersey and still has family he visits there. As a Leadership Lancaster graduate, Sean has been actively involved in board service for several years with the Lancaster Rec Commission and the Touchstone Foundation.
